Silverstone Unveils World’s First 1000W SFX Power Supply

SFX form factor power supplies are great for building ultra-compact computers. Until recently, these PSUs offered a power range of 350 to 850 W, but SilverStone introduced the world’s first 1000 W SFX power supply.

The compact novelty Silverstone SST-SX1000-LPT SFX PSU with dimensions of 125 × 63.5 × 130 mm has received 80 PLUS Platinum certification: PSU efficiency reaches 90% at a load from 20 to 100%.

Despite its small size, the device is ready to offer a fully modular cable configuration and allows you to create a truly powerful and at the same time very compact gaming system.

Silverstone SX1000 comes standard with one 24-pin motherboard power cable, two dual 4 + 4 CPU power cables, three PCI-E 6 + 2 power cables, two SATA four-slot power cables, and one Molex and one 4-pin floppy cable.

The PSU is cooled by a 120mm fan with double rolling bearing and passive operation, which does not rotate with a consumption of fewer than 200 watts. With an increase in the load from 300 to 700 W, the fan speed rises to 900 rpm. And with a consumption of more than 800 W, its speed reaches 1400-1750 rpm. The OVP (overvoltage), OPP (overpower), OCP (overload), OTP (overtemperature) and SCP (short circuit) systems are responsible for protecting the power supply.

Unfortunately, the manufacturer has not yet announced the cost of the new item and the date it will go on sale.
