The Sony Bravia XR 2021 TV series is represented by the following models: Master Series Z9J 8K (LED), Master Series A90J and A80J (OLED), and X95J and X90J 4K (LED). According to the manufacturer, the intelligent processor Cognitive Processor XR provides “an innovative approach to processing audiovisual data .” With its help, the broadcast content is processed to improve the picture and sound quality, making the video more realistic. The new processor also transforms sound to create more immersive sound scenes, according to Sony.

The announced TVs are equipped with new ambient light sensors, which are used to adjust the brightness depending on the light level of the room and correct the white balance on the screen. Google TV with voice control is used as a software platform. All announced models can stream 4K video at 120 frames per second, and also support variable refresh rates and automatic low latency mode (ALLM). Users will be able to interact with the voice assistants Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa if needed.

The X90J will be available in 50 to 75-inch versions, and the 100-inch X92 will not support Acoustic Multi-Audio, which is available in smaller models. The X95J model will be equipped with panels from 65 to 85 inches, the A80J (OLED) – from 55 to 77 inches, A90J – 55, 65 and 83 inches. As for the Z9J 8K (LED), this model will be available in versions with a screen diagonal of 75 and 85 inches.  

The announced TVs will also support other technologies to enhance the picture and sound quality and naturalness. However, the price of the new Sony Bravia XR TVs has not yet been announced. According to reports, the manufacturer will announce the retail price of the new models this spring.
