Sony releases Android 13 for Xperia 1 III, Xperia Pro-I, Xperia 5 IV and Xperia 5 III

The company does not forget the phones of past years

Sony has begun distributing a firmware update based on the fresh Android 13 operating system for four of its smartphones at once. In early November, users of the flagship Xperia 1 IV were able to upgrade to Android 13, and now it’s the turn of the Xperia 1 III, Xperia Pro-I, Xperia 5 IV and Xperia 5 III. 

The Xperia 5 IV debuted in September 2022, the Xperia Pro-I ( review ) in October 2021, and the Xperia 1 III and Xperia 5 III in April 2021.  

The Xperia 5 IV smartphone has already received Android 13 firmware with the December 2022 security update, and the Sony Xperia 1 III, 5 III and Pro-I from November 2022.
