The feature that has been in mobile devices for several years is finally coming to PC

Microsoft continues to refine Windows 10, and some innovations definitely benefit this OS. For example, the emergence of the possibility of specifying the frame rate is welcome: what has been in smartphones for several years has finally appeared on the PC.

The function is still implemented in the test build of Windows 10 Preview Build 20236. As you can see in the screenshot, a frame rate field with a drop-down list will be added in the screen settings – if the screen supports higher frequency modes (say, 120 or 144 Hz), then the user will be able to decide which of these he used in Windows. This setting will reduce the power consumption of gaming PCs, or, conversely, the user may sacrifice autonomy for the sake of smoother operation of the interface.
