E3 2020 will not take place due to the coronavirus pandemic.
However, IGN believes it is necessary to provide fans with a replacement. In early June, the portal intends to organize a virtual event called Summer of Gaming.

During the event, we will learn the latest news about upcoming games and consoles, as well as hear what developers and device manufacturers say. Companies such as 2K Games, Amazon, Bandai Namco, Devolver Digital, Google, Sega, Square Enix, THQ Nordic on Twitter confirmed their participation. And this is not the whole list.
As part of the Summer of Gaming, a series of live broadcasts and special videos will appear. These are publisher presentations with a discussion of details, interviews, demos, news inserts, and more. Viewers will be able to comment and vote.
