Tamron has no plans to release lenses for Fujifilm cameras due to low demand
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the number one selling lens in the Tamron range was the telephoto lens SP 150-600mm F / 5-6.3 Di VC USD G2 (Model A022) in Canon and Nikon SLR options. This is due to the fact that people engaged in photography while sitting at home. The surge in demand took Tamron by surprise, and many dealers do not have this lens.
The manufacturer has confirmed that the Tamron SP 35mm F / 1.4 Di USD (Model F045) full-frame SLR lens for the 40th anniversary of the company is the highest quality lens ever produced under the Tamron brand name.
The company does not plan to release lenses for Fujifilm cameras. This is due to low demand – the manufacturer will not be able to recoup the costs of development and production. By the way, Tamron production now works seven days a week.
Tamron plans to release five new mirrorless lens models in the US this year. According to preliminary data, among them will be lenses with a Nikon Z mount.
