Team Ninja hinted at upcoming news about Ninja Gaiden
Nioh 2 director and producer Fumihiko Yasuda, in an interview with The Gamer and Video Games Chronicle, hinted at upcoming news about Ninja Gaiden and speculated about the platform geography of a potential new game in the series.
Regarding a possible sequel to Ninja Gaiden, in an interview with Video Games Chronicle, Yasuda said, “No plans right now, but I’ve always wanted to do a new installment in the series, so let’s hope. “
In case the new Ninja Gaiden does see the light of day, it will be primarily on the Xbox One consoles, with which the series has a “long history”. For the same reason, none of the Nioh games have appeared on American consoles.
Team Ninja is currently preparing for a February 5 release of Nioh 2 for PC (Steam) and PS5, as well as a remaster of the original Nioh (PS5 only). In addition, for 2021, the studio has saved the announcements of several so far secret projects.
