Instead, Tesla may launch another electric pickup truck – a smaller one
After the announcement of the Tesla Cybertruck pickup truck and the publication of data on its dimensions (5.9 x 2.03 x 1.9 m), discussions began about how big the “colossus” turned out to be. It turned out that the car simply does not fit in the average American garage. Now, if you make it smaller …
Tesla Cybertruck pickup does not fit in a regular garage, but Elon Musk refuses to make it more compact
Then Elon Musk (Elon Musk) reacted positively to this proposal, saying that the serial Cybertruck can dry in size by 3% relative to the prototype. Such an apparatus was already almost end-to-end but would fit in a gate two meters wide.
But the claims still remained: for the normal placement of the car in the garage, it was necessary to reduce the dimensions not by 3%, but by 5%. Now, Elon Musk said that reducing the size of a pickup truck is not considered at all.
Musk tweeted that, along with Franz von Holzhausen, Tesla’s chief designer, once again reviewed Cybertruck’s design: “Even 3% less, it’s too little.
It will be pretty much the same size. Perhaps at some point we will make the small truck easier. ” It should be noted that in his post, Musk most likely made a mistake by using the word “tight” – tight, instead of “light” – light.
.@jayleno: “Why’s it important [for Cybertruck] to be bulletproof?”@elonmusk: “Because it’s badass & super cool! I mean, do you want your truck to be bulletproof or not? Of course you do! … We want to be a leader in apocalypse technology”

In general, despite the clear desire of the audience to acquire Cybertruck and at the same time not to rebuild the garage, Musk is not going to cut the dimensions of the model.
But the second part of his statement is no less interesting / It indicates that in the bowels of Tesla, perhaps, a new project is ripening, which can be conditionally called “Cybertruck light”.
If such a model appears, it will turn out to be cheaper than the elder brother, which means that while maintaining the dynamic characteristics, range, and equipment at the level of the original Cybertruck, it may turn out to be even more in demand. In addition, in this case, the issue of adequate placement of a pickup in the garage will disappear by itself.
