The Chinese clone of the iPhone 12 Pro will be released earlier than the original smartphone. Without bangs and on Android

Apple is expected to unveil the new Apple Watch and iPad Air with a full-screen design during today’s Time Flies online event. The iPhone 12 is unlikely to be released until October, but the Chinese company Goophone has already announced that it is preparing a copy of the iPhone 12 Pro to launch.

The Goophone brand has long been known for producing clones of popular high-end smartphones such as the iPhone and Samsung Galaxy S and Note series. Copies resemble original devices only in design. The Chinese usually use MediaTek processors as the basis. The choice of the operating system falls on the ubiquitous Android, on which Goophone “pulls” a shell reminiscent of the interface of the original device. The Goophone 12 Pro will continue this tradition.

The smartphone will receive a quad-camera with a 48-megapixel main sensor in a square block, similar to what is expected in the iPhone 12. The main difference from the original will be in the design of the front panel. Goophone engineers will get rid of the “monobrow”, which will be replaced by a small hole for a 13-megapixel front camera in the upper left corner of the 6.7-inch AMOLED display.

In terms of specs, the iPhone 12 Pro clone will be based on the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ 5G chipset and 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM. The built-in memory capacity will be 128 GB. Nevertheless, there are still doubts about the filling. Usually, Goophone smartphones cost about $ 110. If the company intends to continue this pricing policy this year, then Dimensity 1000+, as well as LPDDR4x memory, should not be expected in the Goophone 12 Pro.

However, details on pricing and availability have yet to be announced. Goophone has announced that the new smartphone will be unveiled in China very soon.
