The new features are designed to improve user experience with smartphones. One of the most notable improvements is the improved dark mode, which is now available in three different styles: enhanced, medium, and low, each with wallpaper and icon pack settings. Realme UI 2.0 can also automatically adjust display contrast based on ambient lighting.
Realme UI 2.0 will support third-party icon sets. Realme also says the new firmware will optimize auto-brightness. Do Not Disturb has also been optimized so that it can now be scheduled according to individual needs. Realme has also added an “Optimized Charging at Night” mode, which will use an artificial intelligence algorithm to optimize charging speed and extend battery life.
The Realme UI 2.0 changelog also mentions the addition of a new weather app animation. In terms of organizing apps, Realme’s user interface now lets you merge folders. A new system clone feature has also been added, with which you can create a clone of the system and use different fingerprints to log in. The overall security of the system has also been improved.
The camera app has new shortcuts for instant photo editing and social media sharing. The camera has received new modes and a function of detecting lens contamination. The final version of Realme UI 2.0 is due out in the coming weeks.
Realme currently has over 45 million users worldwide. In just a couple of years, its proprietary shell has become a worthy competitor to EMUI and MIUI.
