The first launch of the modernized heavy rocket “Angara” is scheduled for 2024
It became known that the launch of the first modernized heavy launch vehicle “Angara-A5M” should take place at the end of 2024. This was reported by the TASS news agency with reference to the words of the general designer of the Salyut design bureau of the Center. M.V. Khrunichev Sergey Kuznetsov.

Earlier, representatives of the state corporation “Roskosmos” said that it was planned to introduce a number of changes and improvements in the design of the Angara-A5M launch vehicle. These changes must be made before flight tests of the rocket begin. It is known that it was planned to reduce the weight of the launch vehicle structure, to modernize the rocket engines and control systems using modern manufacturing and testing technologies. The launch vehicle “Angara-A5M” will be used to launch manned spacecraft “Oryol” into outer space.
We will remind, earlier this year, the general director of the Khrunichev Center, Alexei Varochko, announced that the assembly of the first flight model of the new Russian launch vehicle Angara-A5M, designed to launch the manned spacecraft Orel, will begin in 2023.
