Some time ago, information appeared on Vivo’s network to enter the tablet PC market this year. The source claims it will happen on January 21st. On this day, the Vivo X60 Pro + smartphone’s announcement is scheduled; that is, the smartphone and the tablet will be presented at the same time.

Last summer, Vivo registered the iQOO Pad, iQOO Book, NEX Book, NEX Pad, and several more trademarks, which clearly indicated plans to release tablets.

Citing IDC data, the source notes that the pandemic has triggered a surge in demand for tablets. Specifically, the Chinese tablet PC market saw the biggest growth since 2013 last year. IDC analysts believe that growth will continue this year, with new entrants to the market and 5G support for tablets themselves. By the end of the year, the share of models with support for new generation cellular networks will reach 8.1%.
