According to the author of the review, Dieter Bohn, for the first time in many years, Apple has created a compact smartphone. Bon noted that the device has outstanding performance, but one key parameter has been degraded – battery life. “Without any effort, I used to discharge my iPhone 12 mini by early evening,” the author said. According to him, the battery of a small device provides up to four hours of mixed-use of the gadget, then the iPhone will have to be charged.
“It’s not bad, but definitely not great,” emphasized Dieter Bohn. The journalist said that in terms of battery life, the smartphone loses both to the new iPhone 12 and to the iPhone 11 introduced in 2019.
A similar statement was made in a smartphone review from the Engadget edition. According to the authors, you have to get used to a tiny device, but the problem with autonomy is much more significant. “This is the same phone that you have to put on charge every night, if not earlier,” – says the publication. The Apple website notes that the 12 mini can work up to 15 hours of video playback. For comparison, the iPhone 12 Pro Max has a similar figure of 20 hours.
Earlier, journalists found out that the wireless MagSafe accessory can charge the iPhone 12 mini with a power of 12 watts. At the same time, other smartphones of the series – iPhone 12, 12 Pro, and 12 Pro Max – support charging with a power of 15 watts. The iPhone 12 mini has a 5.4-inch OLED screen, an Apple A14 Bionic chip, and a dual camera.
