Gonets-M is the basis of the Gonets-D1M multifunctional personal satellite communications system (MSPSS). The devices provide data transmission for stationary and mobile objects in areas with incomplete or no coverage of terrestrial communication networks. Services can be provided in any terrain and in all weather conditions.

It is reported that the launch of three satellites “Gonets-M” is scheduled for November 24. The spacecraft will be put into orbit as part of the Federal Space Program of Russia for 2016–2025, which provides for the maintenance of the Gonets-D1M orbital group in operational readiness and in the regular composition.

It should be noted that three Gonets-M satellites have already been launched in September this year. Then the launch took place for the first time using the Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle. Prior to this, the family’s vehicles were launched into orbit on the Rokot conversion rocket.
