Ubisoft Confirms Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake – Coming January 21, 2021
As expected, Ubisoft unveiled a remake of the action-adventure Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time as part of the second episode of its Ubisoft Forward news broadcast.
An updated version of The Sands of Time will go on sale on January 21 next year for PC (Uplay, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. As expected, Nintendo Switch was not on the list of target platforms.
In the announcement trailer, fragments of which Ubisoft prematurely showed on the Uplay service, they showed the plot of the remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and several episodes from the game, including gameplay.
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake is being developed by Ubisoft’s in-house studios located in the Indian cities of Pune and Mumbai. The project also brought in Prince Yuri Lowenthal’s original voice actor.
The remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time promises to modernize the character models, cinematic sections, animations, and soundtrack, as well as update the combat system and controls (the old layout will not go anywhere).
