Xiaomi apologized for the inconvenience these changes will cause

On the official page of the Xiaomi Mi Notebook line of laptops on the Weibo social network, information was published that the Data Free Travel service will only work until July 30 of this year.

Thanks for your long term support. I regret to inform you that due to business changes, the Data Free Travel feature will be disabled on July 30, 2021. We apologize for the inconvenience this change will cause.

Xiaomi has launched a Data Free Travel traffic management service for 4G versions of its Xiaomi Mi Notebooks. Users can scan the QR code on their mobile phones to register under their real names while using Internet traffic on their smartphones and Xiaomi Mi Notebooks with 4G support.

Xiaomi has not yet announced whether there will be an alternative to Data Free Travel.
