Xiaomi to unveil Mi 10i 5G mid-range smartphone with 108MP camera in early January
Xiaomi has released a series of teaser images anticipating the imminent announcement of the Mi 10i 5G smartphone, which will include a quad camera. The device will debut exactly two weeks later – on January 5th.
As the name reflects, the new product will be able to function in the fifth-generation cellular networks. The corresponding functionality will be provided by the 5G modem included in the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G processor. The chip contains eight Kryo 570 cores with a clock speed of up to 2.2 GHz and an Adreno 619 graphics accelerator.
The teaser reports that the main component of the quad-camera will be a 108-megapixel sensor. The resolution of the other three modules has not yet been disclosed.
According to the available information, the Mi 10i 5G will be based on the Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G. In this case, the novelty will receive a 6.67-inch Full HD + display (2400 × 1080 pixels) with a refresh rate up to 120 Hz, a 16-megapixel selfie camera, Wi-Fi adapters (2.4 / 5 GHz) and Bluetooth 5.1, NFC controller, 4820mAh rechargeable battery with 33W fast charge.
The Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G starts at $ 240. Probably, the Mi 10i 5G model will cost about the same.
