Xiaomi will release affordable flagship Redmi K30 Ultra earlier than expected

Most of the characteristics of the Redmi K30 Ultra smartphone became known before its official announcement. The only question that remained unsolved was when this official announcement would take place. Initially, it was assumed that the novelty will be shown on August 14. However, the day before, Xiaomi announced that it would present the Redmi K30 Ultra three days earlier, on August 11. The Mi 10 Ultra will debut on the same day.

Unlike the Redmi K30 Pro (sold in Russia as Poco F2 Pro), built on the basis of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 processor, the K30 Ultra model is based on the MediaTek Dimensity 1000+ single-chip system with 5G support. Modifications will go on sale with 6, 8, and 12 GB of RAM, and built-in drives up to 512 GB. The power source is a 4500 mAh battery that supports fast 33-watt charging.

Display Redmi K30 Ultra is made using AMOLED technology and has a diagonal of 6.67 inches. The same size screen is used in the K30 Pro, but the Ultra version has the advantage of a 120Hz refresh rate. But the resolution is likely to remain Full HD +.

Cameras similar to the K30 Pro are expected. The front one will probably also protrude from the top end, and the main rear photo module will receive a 64-megapixel sensor.
