Xiaomi will release smart speaker Mi Smart Speaker with Google Assistant in Europe

The Chinese company Xiaomi, according to the information resource WinFuture, will soon bring to the European market the “smart” speaker Mi Smart Speaker, which debuted in India at the end of last month.

The device is made in the form of a barrel with a perforated surface. It uses a 2.5-inch wide-range emitter and has a maximum power of 12 watts.

The speaker is home to an intelligent voice assistant Google Assistant. Two microphones are responsible for picking up commands from different distances. In the upper part of the case, there are touch control buttons for adjusting the volume level, switching tracks, pause/resume playback.

The heart of the smart speaker is the AMLogic A113X SoC with four ARM Cortex-A53 processing cores, working in tandem with 512 MB of RAM. A Wi-Fi adapter with support for the 2.4 and 5 GHz frequency ranges is responsible for wireless connection to a computer network. In addition, there is a Bluetooth 4.2 controller.

The speaker measures 131 × 104 × 151 mm and weighs about 850 g. The upper part of the case is decorated with LED backlighting.

It is reported that the Mi Smart Speaker will be released in Europe soon. The approximate price is already called: for example, in Spain, the gadget will be offered for 53 euros, and in Portugal – for about 60 euros.
