Users of Xiaomi Mi Box 3 finally got the opportunity to install a new version of the Android operating system on the set-top box.

The Xiaomi Mi Box 3 was launched almost four years ago. The latest update for it was the Android 8.1 Oreo version. Xiaomi has now begun rolling out the highly anticipated Android 9 Pie update for the Mi Box 3.
True, Android 9 Pie is distributed so far only in the beta version and is available to users participating in the testing program.
Interestingly, the legacy Mi Box 3, the Mi Box S model, is already running Android 9 Pie. Although the story of the launch of Android 9 Pie for Mi Box S was not without “adventures” with the suspension of distribution due to numerous user complaints about problems.
