87 million trips in four cities
Yandex announced another achievement Yandex.Drive short-term (or not so) car rental service. The service vehicles have passed an important milestone – they have “driven” the first billion kilometers.

Yandex.Drive carsharing celebrates its first billion kilometers
The service reached this mark in less than three years. Yandex.Drive started its work in February 2018 in Moscow with a fleet of 750 cars. As Yandex notes, car-sharing has become the largest in the world during this time, and its fleet has grown more than 20 times – now it has 16,000 cars.
The first billion kilometers consisted of 87 million trips in four cities: Moscow drivers traveled the most – 84% of the total mileage, drivers in St. Petersburg accounted for 14%, and 2% – for motorists in Kazan and Sochi.
At the moment, in Yandex.Drive you can rent a car for a short time to get to work or a store, or you can rent it for a long time by subscription (up to one and a half years) and use it as a personal car. For business owners, Yandex.Drive offers an alternative to its own fleet of cars. Over the past year (compared to November 2019), the number of corporate users’ trips has increased more than 10 times.
Yandex.Drive operates in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, and Sochi. The car fleet includes cars of different brands: Renault Kaptur and Volkswagen Polo to Volvo XC60 and Mercedes E200, Nissan Leaf electric vehicles, and minivans.
