2023 Emmys Telecast Postponed to January 2024

As the strikes rage on, many productions and project developments remain stagnant. The Emmys reschedule to 2024 in hopes the conflict will resolve by then.

The 2023 Emmy Awards have undergone a significant rescheduling due to the ongoing WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. Originally slated for September 18, the 75th annual ceremony was forced to be postponed. However, fans and industry insiders can now mark their calendars for the new date – January 15, 2024.

This rescheduled event is particularly special as it marks the 75th anniversary of the Emmy Awards. The show will be broadcast live on FOX, covering the nation from coast-to-coast. The prestigious Peacock Theater at LA Live will serve as the venue, providing the perfect backdrop to honor the exceptional talents that have graced our screens over the past year. From performers to writers, directors, and craftspeople, this event recognizes the individuals whose work has captivated, inspired, and brought people together worldwide.

The main ceremony is set to begin at 8 p.m. ET, with an exciting lead-up to the main event. The Creative Arts Emmy Awards will span two nights, taking place on January 6 and 7, 2024. This will build up the excitement for the grand spectacle that awaits on January 15. To ensure no one misses out, an edited version of the ceremony will be broadcast on FXX at 8 p.m. ET on the same date, allowing viewers to relive the highlights and celebrate the deserving winners.

In the world of production, Jesse Collins, who secured an Emmy for outstanding variety special (live) at the 74th annual ceremony, will take on the role of executive producer this year. Collaborating with him are Dionne Harmon and Jeannae Rouzan-Clay, representing Jesse Collins Entertainment. With such a talented team at the helm, the 2023 Emmy Awards promise to be a memorable and captivating celebration of excellence in television.
