The new 2024 Kia Sorento Hybrid has been unveiled in the United States, ditching the red color and receiving a slight price increase. Previously, the car was presented in South Korea.
Interestingly, the Runway Red color used to advertise the SUV will not be available in the US. It is also announced that the Gravity Blue paint can now be combined with the Navy interior color package, which covers the front and rear seats with perforated dark blue leather and a touch of blue on the steering wheel. Kia also switched from black headliner to gray for the Navy interior package.
At the heart of the lineup continues to be the Sorento Hybrid EX FWD, starting at $36,690. This model, like all the others, is powered by a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, paired with a 44kW electric motor and a six-speed automatic transmission. Overall, the Sorento Hybrid produces 227 hp. and torque 350 Nm. The 2023 Sorento Hybrid EX FWD starts at $36,590.
2024 Kia Sorento Unveiled: US Pricing Announced
Buyers wanting to upgrade to an EX with all-wheel drive will have to shell out $38,990, up $600 from last year. Continuing to top the lineup is the Sorento Hybrid SX-P, which now starts at $42,490, up from $42,390 last year.
A host of safety features come standard across the range. In fact, all trim levels include Blind Spot Collision Mitigation Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Forward Collision Mitigation Assist, Highway Driving Assist, High Beam Assist, Lane Keeping Assist and Traffic Warning Assist. rear-end collision with cross traffic. The only additional safety features found on the SX-P are Rear Parking Collision Mitigation Assist, Around View Monitor and Blind View Monitor.
