Karol G, who is currently on her MSB Latin America Tour, wasn’t present at the ceremony. Yet, her dominance was undeniable. She secured the coveted Artist of the Year award, surpassing strong contenders like Bad Bunny, Carin León, and Peso Pluma. Her critically acclaimed album “Mañana Será Bonito” won Album of the Year, and her smash hit “TQG” featuring Shakira took home Song of the Year.

Feid, on the other hand, was a vibrant presence on stage. He delivered a show-stopping performance alongside Farruko and Jay Wheeler in a special tribute to reggaeton legend Yandel. Adding to this, Feid collected awards like Streaming Artist of the Year and Collaboration of the Year for “Classy 101” with Young Miko.

Special Recognition: Honoring Legends

The 2024 Latin AMAs paid special tribute to three music icons. The legendary Puerto Rican singer Yandel received the prestigious Latin AMA Pioneer Award. In his emotional acceptance speech, he expressed gratitude to his longtime collaborator “TK.”

Ricardo Montaner and Banda MS were each presented with the Latin AMA Legacy Award, acknowledging their enduring contributions to Latin music.

Memorable Wins Throughout the Night

Carin León not only delivered a captivating live performance of his new song “Cuando La Vida Sea Trago,” but also secured the coveted Best Artist – Regional Mexican award.

Electrifying Performances Steal the Show

The 2024 Latin AMAs were a musical extravaganza. The show featured several world premieres, including Marc Anthony’s electrifying performance of “Ale Ale” from his new album “Muevense.” Additionally, Carin León’s first-time live rendition of “Cuando La Vida Sea Trago” left the audience wanting more.

A unique highlight was the bilingual performance of “Love’s Still Here” by country singer Jennifer Nettles and singer-songwriter Noel Schajris. This marked the premiere of a track from Nettles’ upcoming bilingual album.

A Groundbreaking Bilingual Broadcast

A history-making element of the 2024 Latin AMAs was the ceremony’s bilingual broadcast. Hosted by Becky G, Thalia, Alejandra Espinoza, and Carlos Ponce, the award show unfolded in a combination of English and Spanish. This marked a first for any major U.S. award show, signifying a significant step towards inclusivity in the entertainment industry.
