Unlike the “big brother”, this version is single-wheel drive
Last year, Lexus launched the RZ 450e battery-powered all-wheel drive crossover, and now the company has introduced a simplified version called the RZ 300e. Interestingly, all the differences come down to range and powertrain.
If the Lexus RZ 450e is all-wheel drive, then the Lexus RZ 300e is single-wheel drive: a motor producing 204 hp is installed on the front axle. The capacity of the traction battery is the same 71.4 kWh as that of the “big brother”, but due to the weight reduced by 100 kg and the absence of all-wheel drive, the range of the younger version is greater – 600 km.
204 hp, 600 km range and all the same options as the Lexus RZ 450e. Lexus RZ 300e introduced
As for the rest, there are no differences. The dimensions of the Lexus RZ 300e (4805 x 1895 x 1635 mm with a wheelbase length of 2850 mm) are exactly the same as the RZ 450e. And in terms of equipment, there are also no special differences: the Lexus RZ 300e has a Mark Levinson speaker network, wireless charging for a smartphone, 20-inch wheels, and a set of Lexus Safety System driver assistance systems.
The cost of the Lexus RZ 300e is 7% lower than that of the RZ 450e: in Japan the car was priced at the equivalent of 52.2 thousand euros.
