Meticulous users (or potential buyers?) of Xiaomi 14 smartphones, while communicating with technical support, found out that the new flagships of the Chinese company support connection to monitors via DP 1.2 – this is a standard feature of smartphones, it is implemented via the USB-C 3.2 port. The technical support did not tell us what maximum resolution the image can be displayed on an external screen.

But there is one point related to USB. It lies in the fact that the devices support different versions of the USB interface: in the case of Xiaomi 14 it is USB-C 3.2 Gen 1, and in the case of Xiaomi 14 Pro it is USB-C 3.2 Gen 2. Accordingly, in the first case, the data transfer speed is 5 Gbit /s, and in the second – 10 Gbit/s.
