AirPods will get a body temperature sensor in the future
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple is preparing to release AirPods Pro with a new case that will be equipped with a USB-C connector. Presumably, the novelty will be presented simultaneously with the iPhone 15 line, which will also switch from a Lightning port to USB-C.
Gurman says Apple is testing a new hearing test feature in addition to other iOS 17 AirPods features Apple announced at WWDC. Based on user responses, it will be able to identify possible hearing problems.

The company is working on a new hearing test feature that will play different tones and sounds so AirPods can determine how well a person hears. The idea is to help users identify hearing problems in much the same way that the Apple Watch ECG app checks for heart problems.
In the long term, Gurman says Apple is working on adding additional health sensors to the AirPods hardware, such as a body temperature sensor.
Apple previously announced that AirPods Pro will feature Adaptive Audio later this year, which dynamically switches between transparency and noise reduction modes based on ambient sound.
