Maybe even in 2025
Apple is gearing up for its first major redesign in several generations of the core Apple Watch, but we won’t see it this year, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman.
Instead, Apple is working on a thinner Apple Watch X with a magnetic watchband attachment, a blood pressure sensor, and a microLED screen. Such watches will be released either at the end of 2024 or even in 2025.
Old mechanical strap attachments take up space that the company could use to shrink wearables or install more battery and additional internal components.

Apple has reportedly been planning a blood pressure sensor for the Apple Watch for years, and it could happen just in time for the gadget’s 10th anniversary.
The Apple Watch Series 9 will get a faster processor for the first time since the Series 6 debut, but will retain the same screen sizes as last year, including for the 49mm Apple Watch Ultra.
