Among Us will also be released on PlayStation before the end of the year – with exclusive content from Ratchet & Clank
Independent American studio InnerSloth announced the expansion of the target platform list of its multiplayer hit Among Us as part of today’s release of the State of Play news program.
As it became known, during the current year, Among Us will appear on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. In the same time period, the previously announced versions for Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and S are expected.
The game will offer exclusive content based on the Ratchet & Clank action platformer series (skin, hat, pet), crossplay, and online multiplayer on PlayStation consoles.
It is also reported that in the versions of Among Us for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, all maps released to date will be available – from Skeld to The Airship, which debuted at the end of March.
“We have many updates planned for Among Us, and we can’t wait to take our PlayStation community with us on the journey,” commented the InnerSloth announcement on the Official PlayStation Blog.
Recall that users in Among Us get the role of crew members of a spaceship or aircraft. The players’ task is to figure out and throw overboard the bloodthirsty impostors who have entered the team.
Among Us debuted in 2018 on mobile (iOS, Android) and PC (Steam) and reached Nintendo Switch in December 2020. The project’s popularity, which caught the developers by surprise, even prompted InnerSloth to abandon a sequel plan.
