This feature interferes with the new one-handed mode

Android 12 Developer Preview 2 has revealed a new feature that will appear in the twelfth version of the Android operating system. We are talking about a new swipe gesture that allows you to quickly show the notification panel.

Android 12 has a new gesture

First, you need to make sure that Swipe for Notifications is enabled in the Gestures menu. To do this, go to Settings> System> Gestures. By enabling this function, the user will just have to swipe at the bottom of the bottom of the screen to display their notifications.

According to users, this feature works fine on Google Pixel 5 smartphone. On Pixel 4a 5G, this section is in the settings, but users cannot activate the function. On the Pixel 4, there is no such section in the menu yet. Do not forget that we are still talking about an unstable version of the operating system for developers.

The source adds that this gesture interferes with the new one-handed control mode, which also debuted in Android 12 Developer Preview 2. Both functions cannot be enabled and run at the same time as they are triggered by the same gesture.

Over the next few months (the final version of Android 12 may be released in early September), the developers will surely fix this problem.
