Android update brings a number of problems for Samsung Galaxy Note 10 users
The owners of smartphones of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 family began to complain about problems with the operation of some functions of the digital pen S Pen, which appeared after installing security patches that were released in March and April 2021. The company has not yet responded in any way, and users are waiting for a fix for this problem.
More specifically, the S Pen disconnects from smartphones, causing Air Actions to malfunction. Accordingly, remote control of the camera, volume, and other gestures become unavailable. A malfunction occurs immediately after the pen is removed from the smartphone. Reconnection doesn’t solve this problem either, although pen navigation, sketching, and scrolling work.
As noted by SamMobile, Galaxy Note 10 owners began to experience similar problems since mid-2020, and now they have only become more frequent. Therefore, the South Korean tech giant has yet to figure out and solve this bug.
Some Twitter users in the discussion of such problems put forward the theory that the problem may occur at the hardware level. Software glitches seem more likely, though.
