Buyers will sign up to try out the new product before purchasing.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has revealed new details about the Apple Vision Pro headset. It is expected to appear “early next year”, but it is unlikely to allow Apple to significantly increase revenue.
CEO Tim Cook laid out his approach to selling a device that combines virtual and augmented reality: “There hasn’t been a product like the Vision Pro on the market before. And that’s why we intentionally sell it only in our stores. “We will be offering in-store demos and it will be very different from the typical ‘grab and go’ buying process.”
Apple has come up with a new approach to selling Vision Pro
While he didn’t go into detail, Mark Gurman previously reported that Apple plans to require buyers to make an appointment to test the Vision Pro before purchasing. Vision Pro flagship stores will also have dedicated shopping areas.
International distribution of the new product will be moderate. Vision Pro will launch in the US only, before heading to the UK and Canada at the end of 2024.
We are waiting for new details to appear.
