This makes Ukraine the seventh region to support Tap to Pay, following launches in the UK, Australia, Taiwan, Brazil and the Netherlands earlier in 2023.

The feature was initially introduced in the United States in February 2022. It allows compatible iPhones to accept payments via Apple Pay, contactless credit and debit cards, and other digital wallets, for example, by tapping another smartphone—no additional hardware required. PrivatBank became Apple’s first Ukrainian partner. Tap to Pay requires an iPhone‌‌‌‌ XS or newer model.
