Apple will unveil a refreshed iPad mini and an advanced iPad mini Pro this year, if rumors are true
The iPad mini’s appearance has remained largely unchanged since its inception, although Apple has updated its specifications and added support for the Apple Pencil digital pen. This year the tablet may receive an updated design, as predicted by TF Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and several other experts.
The sixth-generation iPad mini is rumored to have a larger screen than its predecessors, ranging from 8.4 to 9 inches. But due to the thinner bezels, the dimensions of its body will remain the same.
South Korean resource Naver claims that we should also expect the appearance of a version of the iPad mini Pro, which will have even more differences from its predecessor than the iPad mini 6. According to resource sources, it will have an 8.7-inch screen and a larger case.
In turn, the resource Svet Apple has published renders that give an idea of how an iPad mini might look like an iPad Pro. Its design is almost identical to the iPad Pro tablet. The novelty is shown with flat edges and thin bezels around the 8.9-inch display, and it has a USB-C port at the bottom of the case. It also reported support for the Face ID function.
In January, Macotakara reported that the new iPad mini could be released this month. However, his publication says that the iPad mini will have the same bezels at the screen’s top and bottom. Its predecessors, with a Home button and a Touch ID fingerprint sensor and a Lightning connector at the bottom of the case.
