ASRock Rack B550D4M Server Board Powered by AMD Ryzen 5000 Desktop Chips

ASRock Rack has announced the B550D4M motherboard designed for building workstations and servers based on the AMD hardware platform. The novelty is made in the ATX form factor (305 × 244 mm) using the AMD B550 system logic set.

It is possible to install “desktop” Ryzen 5000 processors in the AM4 PGA 1331 version. The system can use up to 128 GB of DDR4-3200 RAM in four modules of 32 GB each.

Provides one OCP 2.0 Mezzanine (PCIe x8) and PCIe 4.0 x8 slot each. Besides, there is a PCIe 4.0 x16 slot for a discrete accelerator or adapter. The motherboard has six SATA 3.0 ports for connecting drives. An M.2 connector is also available for a 22110/2280/2242 PCIe3.0x4 or SATA 3.0 solid-state module.

The novelty is equipped with two-gigabit network ports and a dedicated network management port (for BMC AST2500) based on the Realtek RTL8211E controller. In addition to the jacks for network cables, the interface block contains two USB 3.2 Gen1 and USB 3.2 Gen2 ports, HDMI and D-Sub connectors, and a serial port.
