Asus has revealed all the specifications of its ultimate gaming monitor ROG Swift Pro PG248QP. Let us remind you that it has a frame rate of 540 Hz.
It turned out that this monitor is even more interesting than previously thought. This appears to be the first model to support Nvidia’s G-Sync Ultra Low Motion Blur 2 (ULMB 2) technology, introduced in May. Let’s remember that we are talking about backlight strobing technology, which means that in ULMB 2 the monitor backlight turns on only when each pixel has the correct color value. The idea is to not show the transition of pixels, but only show them when their color is accurate. As a result, the actual frame rate doesn’t change, of course, but Nvidia says the effective motion clarity rate increases to 1000 Hz or more. In the case of the Asus monitor, we are talking about 2000 Hz.
Asus ROG Swift Pro PG248QP supports ULMB 2
The monitor is based on a 24.1-inch diagonal Esports-TN panel with Full HD resolution. You can also note 125 percent coverage of the sRGB color space, a brightness of 400 cd/sq.m, a response time of 0.2 ms, HDMI 2.0 (x2), DisplayPort 1.4, USB 3.2 (x2) ports, and an unusual leg with transformable elements.
Asus is also talking about integrating the ESS codec and promising support for PCM audio up to 32 bits at 384 kHz and almost zero latency.
Unfortunately, the price remains unknown, as does the start date of sales.
