“The exchange rate of the ruble still significantly affects the cost of production”
New details about the increase in prices for Lada cars were published by the editor-in-chief of the publication “Behind the Rulem” Maxim Kadakov, who confirmed that price adjustments could be carried out before the end of summer.
I was assured that the price adjustment had nothing to do with the increase in scrappage fees, since government support measures (meaning industrial subsidies) completely neutralize the impact of scrappage indexation on the price of domestic cars. AvtoVAZ promises not to raise prices for the most budget cars. That is, the price of the cheapest Grant (which is without ABS) should remain within 700 thousand rubles.
AvtoVAZ will raise prices for Lada and increase the production of cars.
Cars in rich trim levels, which are more dependent on imported components, will rise in price.
Some adjustment of prices for more equipped modifications is possible, primarily in connection with their complete set with additional options received, including from foreign suppliers and some domestic suppliers who receive subcomponents and raw materials from abroad. In other words, the exchange rate of the ruble still significantly affects the cost of production.
It is not yet known in what proportion AvtoVAZ will produce cheap and expensive modifications. But the total volume of production should gradually increase: “AvtoVAZ is increasing the production of Grant cars to 54 cars per hour, Vesta – up to 40 cars per hour, Niva – up to 45 cars per hour.”
Earlier it was reported that Lada cars may rise in price on August 20 .
