Ernie Bot: The Chinese giant Baidu announced the imminent completion of testing of Ernie Bot – this is an analogue of ChatGPT. The novelty will be announced in March. According to Reuters, the Ernie language model was introduced in 2019. It is able to understand speech and generate texts and images. The word itself stands for Enhanced Representation through Knowledge Integration.
The publication, citing its informant, said that a separate application would be released first, and then Baidu would add Ernie Bot to the search engine. It is also noted that in recent years the company has spent billions of dollars on artificial intelligence research.
Baidu previously launched the first Chinese XiRang metaverse (2021). The company is also actively developing cloud services and unmanned vehicles. The latter also requires AI systems.
Earlier it was reported that Google introduced Bard, its chatbot to compete with ChatGPT.
