Blogger disassembled Samsung Galaxy S21 and found a similar layout to Galaxy S20

Site 9to5Google with a link to a video from the PBKReviews channel spoke about some of the internal features of the new flagship Samsung Galaxy S21. Interestingly, internally it is almost identical to last year’s Galaxy S20, while the company began to use a new way to cool the processor.

We are talking, of course, about the arrangement of parts inside the device. The location of the individual modules – the motherboard, cameras, controllers, speaker, cables and battery of the novelty turned out to be identical to the Galaxy S20. Probably, the South Korean company thus saves on the production of smartphones. Indeed, cardinal changes in the technical process may require new equipment or major changes in the operation of the existing one. Not to mention training the staff for the new requirements. At the same time, the cost of new flagships compared to last year has become lower – Galaxy S20 cost from $ 999, and Galaxy S21 from $ 799.

At the same time, there are still changes inside. For example, the speaker assembly has a special foam coating that, in theory, should make the sound louder and clearer. Also, the Galaxy S21 display can be replaced more easily than previous generations, because it is attached using special ribbon cables, and not soldered.

As the blogger notes, the module of a smartphone, which is designed to work with one SIM card, looks like a smartphone can work with two. So, most likely, the company has programmatically blocked the second SIM card slot.

Another difference is the use of a graphite layer for more efficient heat dissipation. Previously, a copper plate was used for this.

Some resources on the Internet report that the company may block some functions of the Galaxy S21 during an unofficial repair with the installation of non-original parts.
