At the launch, which will take place next November, the new BMW M3 Touring xDrive will make available a rich catalog of accessories and devices by BMW M Performance Parts, for all those customers who want to immediately increase the exclusivity and sportiness of the brand-new model with familiar bodywork.
For the bodywork, a wide selection of external components in CFRP (composite material reinforced with carbon fiber) with a transparent finish have been designed and manufactured to refine the sporty appearance. They range from the front splitter and M Performance carbon fiber flics, from the effect clearly inspired by the DTM touring cars to the M Performance air intakes, to the eye-catching M exterior mirror caps, to finish with the rear fins and the M Performance carbon fiber rear diffuser and M Performance roof spoiler.
The M Performance forged rims are each made from a single piece of aluminum and machined with great precision right from the base, which is laminated with a flow-forming process. They are offered with a Y design in matt Jet Black and sizes of 19 inches at the front and 20 inches at the rear or with crossed spokes (front: 20 inches, rear: 21 inches) in matt Jet Black or, for greater uniqueness, in Frozen Gold Bronze. All have a central single nut.
The M Performance titanium exhaust system is recognized by the tailpipes grouped in the center under the rear shield. The rear silencer and the finishing of the terminals themselves, both in titanium, accentuate the sound of the 6-cylinder in-line engine with M TwinPower Turbo technology. The lightweight design means that the muffler is approximately 30% lighter than the standard one.
The driving dynamics of the BMW M3 Touring can be further enhanced by the height-adjustable M Performance sports suspension. By lowering the Coilover system – and therefore the car’s center of gravity – and reducing roll movements, they enable higher cornering speeds. There are also M Performance brake pads available for the front and rear wheels, effective both on the road and on the track.
Inside, M Performance cabin trim panels in open-pore matte carbon fiber combine with two large knee pads with Alcantara surfaces , which optimize the driver’s support in particularly difficult turns. The M Performance backrest covers give the front seats a racing car look, and the carbon fiber headrest finishes have an improved aesthetic thanks to a polyurethane lacquer and are mirror polished , while the rest of the rear panel is upholstered in high-quality Alcantara with an integrated M Performance badge in aluminum.
The center armrest in Alcantara adds an extra touch with stitching in classic BMW M colors and the M Performance badge, as well as the new M Performance logos for the LED door headlamps. Finally, it is also possible to add the “50 Jahre BMW M” motif that commemorates the 50th anniversary of the M division celebrated in 2022.
