In a trial already full of disturbing revelations, the third week of testimony in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal sex-trafficking and racketeering case saw a dramatic and emotional turn. On Tuesday, Combs’ longtime personal and professional associate, Capricorn Clark, delivered harrowing testimony that began with defiance and ended in sobs. Her account offered damning accusations against the hip-hop mogul—only to be followed by inconsistencies under cross-examination that complicated her credibility.

An Alleged Kidnapping at Gunpoint: What Clark Claimed
Capricorn Clark testified that in December 2011, she was kidnapped at gunpoint by Combs and forced to participate in a confrontation at the Hollywood Hills residence of rapper Kid Cudi (Scott Mescudi), who was then dating Cassie Ventura—Combs’ romantic partner and now the prosecution’s star witness.
“He got me with a gun and brought me to Mescudi’s house to kill him,” Clark told the jury in a shocking statement.
Clark described the chilling moment in Diddy’s Escalade, where she allegedly witnessed Combs and a staffer break into Mescudi’s home. As they left the property, they spotted Mescudi returning in his Porsche and pursued him—until sirens forced them to flee.
Alleged Assault on Cassie Ventura After the Incident
According to Clark, after abandoning the chase, Combs drove to a nearby nightclub and then returned home. That’s when she claims the situation turned violent again. She was told to pick up Cassie Ventura from a hotel—where she had been with Mescudi—and bring her to Combs’ residence.
Clark testified that Combs physically assaulted Cassie, beating her in the street while she curled into a fetal position, unable to defend herself.
Clark’s Career with Combs: From Loyalty to Ruin
Clark’s professional background includes roles at Def Jam, BET Films, and eventually, working as Combs’ assistant for several years. But her employment ended abruptly after the 2011 incident. She claimed that Combs fired her for not alerting him that Ventura was involved with Kid Cudi.
“I lost everything,” she said. “He said I would never work again… and he would make me kill myself.”
Clark also told the court that Combs threatened her and others involved to convince Kid Cudi not to go to the police, reportedly saying, “If you don’t convince him of that, I’ll kill all you,” punctuating it with an expletive.
Inconsistencies Under Cross-Examination
Though Clark’s initial testimony was emotionally gripping, her credibility came under scrutiny during cross-examination. The defense pressed her on critical details—especially who she contacted first on the night of the alleged incident. Discrepancies arose over whether she called another woman before warning Ventura or Mescudi.
Defense attorneys also raised questions about her return to work for Combs in 2016, despite the alleged threats and abuse. Emails she wrote to Combs, asking for forgiveness and another chance at employment, were read aloud in court.
A Complicated Relationship with Cassie Ventura
Clark’s testimony also explored her working relationship with Cassie Ventura, particularly during the years when Ventura was the center of Combs’ attention. From 2007 to 2010, Clark claimed the majority of Bad Boy Records’ promotional resources went to Ventura, who she described as initially a promising artist but eventually becoming a “demanding girlfriend.”
Despite being let go by Combs, Clark returned to work with him as a creative director, helping build Cassie’s image and directing a short film.
The Broader Legal Context: What Combs Faces
The 55-year-old music mogul has been charged with sex-trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. The five-count federal indictment carries severe consequences—if convicted, Combs could face 15 years to life in prison. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
Clark’s testimony adds to an ever-growing narrative of alleged abuse, control, and criminal behavior that spans years. However, the defense aims to portray Clark as an unreliable witness, citing her return to work for Combs and questioning her motivations and memory.
Capricorn Clark’s Emotional Collapse in Court
As the day progressed, Clark’s emotional state deteriorated. Once sharp and direct in her answers, she later broke down in tears, apologizing to the judge and stating her intention to “get through” her time on the stand.
She brought up her autistic son during testimony, saying:
“I just want to work and provide for my son… He holds all the power as it relates to me.”
Her statement underscored a recurring theme in the trial—power and control—and the lasting trauma allegedly inflicted by Sean Combs.
