The company said that they would be equal to Zen 2 and Core 10th generation

The upcoming processors of the Chinese company Loongson are becoming more and more interesting. The manufacturer in the latest patch for Linux 6.5 added multi-threading (SMT) support to the CPU 3A6000 . That is, as in the case of almost all modern Intel and AMD CPUs, one physical core will be defined by the system as two separate ones, which will significantly increase performance.

Chinese processors have become one step closer to AMD and Intel CPUs.

Loongson has previously said that its new processors will be able to compete with AMD Zen 2 and Core 10th generation. Apparently, not least thanks to SMT.

The patch mentions processors with four and eight cores, but Loongson herself has previously said that the 3A6000 line will include 32-core models. Whether SMT will be available in all CPUs of the line is unclear.
