Crucial has expanded its P series of SSDs. P5 drives are available in sizes M.2-2280, equipped with a PCIe 3.0 x4 interface, and support the NVMe 1.3 protocol. They are available in 250 GB, 500 GB, 1 TB, and 2 TB volumes.

The sequential read speed reaches 3400 MB / s, sequential write – 3000 MB / s (1400 MB / s in the case of the model with a capacity of 250 GB), which is higher than that of medium-class drives Crucial P1 and P2. P5 uses DRAM caching to increase speed. The manufacturer does not specify which 3D NAND flash memory is used in drives – TLC or QLC. Prices and resources also remained unnamed. It is only known that the drives are covered by a five-year warranty.
