The model will be discontinued after 2023

The Dodge Challenger Hellcat with a manual transmission, equipped with a 717-horsepower V8 engine, was very popular among the adherents of the manual transmission, but in 2021 Dodge discontinued this version. And now, according to a Virginia Dodge dealership, it’s available for order again.

If you go to the Dodge website and try to order your Hellcat, you won’t get a manual transmission. The Hellcat’s only transmission option is an eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission. However, the Koons Tysons Corner dealer prompts potential customers to use an online builder to create the desired specification and then send the PDF to the dealership with a note requesting a manual transmission. Several forum members received an order confirmation for the Challenger Hellcat with manual transmission.

The Drive contacted Stellantis to find out if the hand-operated Hellcat is indeed back and available for order. According to a Stellantis spokesperson, “The manual Dodge Challenger Hellcat is now available in low volume production. Customers can use the Dodge Horsepower Locator tool on DodgeGarage.com to find a dealer with remaining Challenger Hellcats, and then contact them to place an order for a Manual Transmission Challenger Hellcat.”

Dodge is ending the Challenger Hellcat after 2023.
