Early access to shareware shooter Scavengers from the creators of Halo will open tomorrow, but only on PC
On the official website of their shareware strategy, shooter Scavengers, Improbable Worlds, and Midwinter Entertainment have announced the exact launch date for the game in Early Access on PC.
Recall that the initial launch of Scavengers early access was planned during March of this year, but in the middle of the month, the developers postponed the release until the end of April.
As it became known, Midwinter Entertainment was right with the new terms: the pre-release version of Scavengers will be available tomorrow, April 28, on PC ( Steam, Epic Games Store ).
The developers did not say anything new about the timing of the Scavengers premiere on the last generation consoles. Still, back in mid-March, versions of the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One project were announced for the current year.
Scavenger events unfold on Earth after the onset of a new ice age. Players will have to gather in squads of three and fight for survival and supremacy.
The developers call the Scavengers a hybrid of PvE sandbox and class PvP: along with living people, AI-controlled enemies also participate in matches (they can number up to 60 users).
Midwinter Entertainment was founded in 2016 by former 343 Industries creative director Josh Holmes. The Seattle-based studio includes game developers for the Halo, Battlefield, and Gears of War series.
