“I hope you don’t blow yourself up and get arrested.”
Elon Musk has posted instructions on how to turn coca leaves into cocaine, promoting his “rebellious” artificial intelligence chatbot Grok.
The billionaire previously unveiled a new chatbot, saying its access to real-time data from his social media platform X allows it to outperform rivals such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT or Google’s Bard.
“Grok has access to real-time information through the X platform, which is a huge advantage over other models. It’s also based on sarcasm and loves sarcasm,” Musk said.

In a screenshot posted by Musk, Grok offers a “humorous” step-by-step guide to making cocaine, which includes points such as “start cooking and hopefully you don’t blow yourself up and get arrested.”
Musk released a chatbot developed by his new AI company xAI, six months after signing an open letter calling on companies to pause development of artificial intelligence systems for six months.
“I signed up for this letter knowing it was useless,” he said. “I just wanted to put it on record that I recommended a pause.”
Grok is currently only available to paid X Premium subscribers.
