His fortune grew by nearly $100 billion

The 500 richest people in the world increased their wealth by $852 billion in the first half of 2023.

Each member of the Bloomberg Billionaires Index has earned an average of $14 million per day over the past six months, according to data compiled by Bloomberg. This has been the best half year for billionaires since the second half of 2020, when the economy rebounded from the downturn caused by Covid-19.

Elon Musk, the richest person in the world, increased his net worth by $96.6 billion this year, from January 1 to June 30, topping the list of people who have made the most money in half a year.

Elon Musk topped the ranking of people who have earned the most money in six months

The second place was taken by the founder of the Meta company (recognized as extremist in Russia, its activities are prohibited) Mark Zuckerberg with an income of $58.9 billion. Third place was taken by Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, followed by Larry Ellison, one of the founders of Oracle Corporation, and Bernard Arnault, president of the LVMH (Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessy) group of companies.

Gautam Adani’s net worth fell the most in six months, losing $60.2 billion. Adani, chairman of the Adani Group, also posted its biggest single-day loss, losing about $20.8 billion on Jan. 27 after Hindenburg Research accused his conglomerate of accounting fraud and stock manipulation.
