Erica’s Interactive Movie Coming To Steam On May 25th
Flavourworks has announced that its interactive thriller Erica, originally released on PlayStation 4 in August 2019 and coming to iOS this past January, will soon be available on PC. The game will be available on Steam on May 25th for $ 11.99 / £ 9.99 / € 9.99 with a 10% discount at launch.
“At Erica, we’ve taken a breakthrough by taking cinematic live video games to the next level, ” said Flavourworks co-founder and creative director Jack Attride. “The world is tangible, and the transitions are smooth, the combination of cinema and gameplay is harmonious – all this makes us believe that we have changed the definition of what a full-motion video can be .”
According to the plot, the girl Erica is tormented by nightmares about her father’s violent death. Disturbing news forces the heroine to turn again to the past’s terrible events to unravel the terrifying mystery of the House of Delphi. Each decision made affects the story’s course, determines how Erica will communicate with other characters, and what kind of relationships she will build. A branching plot can lead to different endings.
Erica offers to plunge into the atmosphere of a full-length film, the plot of which depends on the player. Full Russian voice acting is announced. Austin Wintory creates the deep musical accompaniment – winner of many awards and author of soundtracks for Journey, The Banner Saga 3, and Assassin’s Creed Syndicate.
