Huawei’s new flagship due in September
One of the insiders on the social network Weibo shared the details he knows about the future flagships of Huawei – Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro. According to an insider, the developers are completing the debugging of the key components of the models, which will become “significantly better.” And we are talking about almost comprehensive improvements: performance, OS, identification system (both the front camera and the fingerprint scanner), the screen, memory, and even the 5G modem.
Everything goes according to plan. Huawei completes work on the Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro, the next stage – mass production
The next stage, according to the informant, is the launch of mass production. This means that Huawei will receive a sufficient supply of 5nm Kirin 1020 SoCs from TSMC. However, according to the latest data, Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro for China will be built on these platforms, and the top-end SoC MediaTek will serve as the basis for international versions of the models.
Since everything is going according to plan for Huawei, the premiere of the Mate 40 and Mate 40 Pro will take place at the usual time – in the middle or in the second half of September. Moreover, the world announcement should first take place, and then after about a week – the local Chinese premiere.
