A Fusion of Design: Fairfield by Marriott Copenhagen Nordhavn

Fairfield properties around the world showcase a simple, timeless, and contemporary design aesthetic. For their European debut, Fairfield by Marriott has meticulously considered this design approach, blending elements inspired by nature and the heritage of the Fairfield country retreat with a light and modern Scandinavian style. This thoughtful fusion results in an effortlessly relaxed yet efficient hotel design.

Fairfield by Marriott Copenhagen Nordhavn holds the distinction of being the first hotel to showcase the brand’s European prototype, meticulously crafted by OCCA Design Studio. This prototype will serve as a blueprint for future Fairfield by Marriott designs across Europe. OCCA Design Studio collaborated with renowned Scandinavian design firms – Mette Fredskild Design and Henning Larsen Architects – to ensure the design resonates with local sensibilities and captures the essence of Danish “hygge,” a concept that prioritizes comfort and well-being for travelers seeking a haven during their stay in Copenhagen.

The hotel’s public spaces and 222 guestrooms (20 of which offer captivating sea views) are designed with a calming palette of natural colors and materials. Green tones and wood accents are complemented by a blend of soft organic and uncomplicated geometric shapes, fostering a sense of tranquility for guests. Each guestroom features comfortable beds, a modern shower, complimentary Wi-Fi access, and a mobile desk space, catering to the needs of both business and leisure travelers.

A Relaxing Retreat in the Heart of Copenhagen

Staying true to the brand’s legacy, Fairfield by Marriott Copenhagen Nordhavn offers a serene waterfront setting nestled within the charming Århusgadekvarteret neighborhood. This area is a vibrant hub for local architecture, design, restaurants, and cafes, providing travelers with an escape from the bustling city center while remaining well-connected.
